• Leahy had this video over on Going Five Hole this weekend, in which Patrick Roy's son Frédérick keeps the family tradition of ghastly violent YouTube hockey clips alive by cross-checking Vincent Bourgeois in the face during a Quebec Remparts QMJHL game (you know, the team Patrick Roy coaches). Quite the pacifist family, huh? The brotherly play-fighting in the Roy house must have made Will Ferrell vs. John C. Riley in "Step Brothers" look like a snuggle party. Now, does Frédérick have a MySpace page for his R&B career, too? Because there's always the chance he's the one who got the singing talent in the family ... [Going Five Hole]

• Speaking of Roy, his number was retired last weekend by the Montreal Canadiens, while Wendel Clark was honored by the Toronto Maple Leafs. • The Boston Bruins officially unveil their third jerseys, which look pretty darn sharp if a little redundant. The Pro Shop at the Garden will start selling the sweaters today at 2 p.m. with Bruins players Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic, Phil Kessel, Marc Savard, Tim Thomas and Blake Wheeler there to pimp them. • Larry Brooks freaks out about the state of the New York Rangers, wondering if there's any hope when the team relies upon shaky defensemen like Michal Rozsival and Wade Redden. For the record, Redden may actually have more turnovers than shots on the power play this season. [NY Post]

• Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Flyers probably don't want to hear this from Danny Briere regarding his injured groin: "I don't think I've ever had an injury like this one that has taken so long -- I have no clue.
