Patrick Kaleta scratched due to being 'snowed in'
Here's a scratch list tweet that you don't see super often. This comes from the Buffalo Sabres official Twitter account:
#Sabres scratches: Benoit (healthy), Gorges (lower-body injury), Kaleta (snowed in). #SJSvsBUF

Yup, that's correct. Forward Patrick Kaleta could not make the game against the San Jose Sharks because he was snowed in.
Makes you wonder a little bit about Kaleta and his understanding of Buffalo-area snow. After all he was born in Buffalo. Then again, there is what they call a Lake Effect and the Buffalo area is expected to have 8-12 inches of now per weather.com.
For what it's worth, coach Ted Nolan said Kaleta was going to be scratched before the storm hit.
