With Team Europe, the NHL and the designers with adidas had to figure out a jersey for a team with players from several countries.

In order to do this, adidas will put the flags of player’s countries on the jersey sleeve.

Here is what the press release from adidas said about the jerseys.

“Signifying a united Europe, the players’ countries are all represented by a modern E shield, featuring a single crest that connects all of their home nations. Players wear their flag on their shoulder and the names of each European nation in the unity stripe across their sleeve. A continental blue color scheme highlights harmony on a unified team.”

These haven’t been shown on the mock ups we’ve seen but it's different than the skull and crossbones pirate flag Team Europe center Anze Kopitar mentioned in September.

Here are players modeling the Team Europe jersey, where you can possibly see the patch and shoulder numbers, from Sports Logos:

Look at the Team Europe jerseys below in full, but with no numbers.

Because Team Europe is a new concept, with players from countries that aren’t the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland and Russia, the jersey is original and had to be as neutral as possible. Check out the first 16 players named to their roster and our analysis.

So what do you think?
