Nino Niederreiter blasts through Panthers D, goes top shelf

Any time Nino Niederreiter scores, an Islanders fan cries. Never mind it was a long-protracted situation that got Niederreiter off the Island. Still, the skilled Swiss marksman is red hot for the Wild. Behold his 10th goal of the NHL season: 

At least until this year, it appeared Niederreiter, a 2010 fifth overall pick, was going to be a failed prospect. But he has alas come around for the Wild. And look at that backhand shelf shot -- yikes.

As for Cal Clutterbuck -- the player dealt to the Islanders for 'The Nino' -- he has four points in 19 games. Then again, the Islanders beat Pittsburgh twice last weekend, so it doesn't matter too much. But then again, he's not picking up highlight-reel goals nightly.
