No. 1 Star: Jason Pominville, Minnesota Wild

No. 2 Star: Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals

The Caps center helped set up Joel Ward, Alex Ovechkin and Troy Brouwer for goals in Washington’s 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. His seven helpers on the season led the NHL.

No. 3 Star: Jonas Gustavsson, Detroit Red Wings

The Wings’ backup goalie, starting for the injured Jimmy Howard, made 28 saves in Boston, leading Detroit to a 3-2 victory over the Bruins.

Honorable mention: Henrik Zetterberg scored his fifth goal for the Wings. … Josh Harding made 22 saves in the Wild’s win. … Alex Ovechkin scored this sixth for the Caps. … Will Acton scored his first NHL goal for Edmonton. … The Caps scored on three straight shots in the second.
