When they needed a big game, Rangers captain Ryan Callahan showed up. After being shutout in their previous two games, Callahan was involved in each of New York's four goals during their 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Callahan set up three and scored one in the second period shorthanded as the Rangers remained in the Eastern Conference playoff picture:
Behind Fasth's 26 saves, the Ducks blanked the Dallas Stars 4-0. Bobby Ryan, Teemu Selanne, Matt Beleskey, and Corey Perry were the goal scorers for Anaheim as they took five of eight points from a four-game road trip. The shutout was the third of the season for Fasth, who won for the first time since March 18. Ryan Getzlaf recorded two assists to give him 40 points on the year.
No. 3 Stars: Devan Dubnyk, Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers won their fourth in a row thanks to a three-goal opening period and 33 saves by Dubynk. Justin Schultz scored and recorded two assists, while Nail Yakupov added two points as Edmonton improved to 7-2-2 in their last 11 games. The win puts the Oilers one point behind the Blues for eighth in the West.
Honorable mention: The New York Islanders got goals from Travis Hamonic, Josh Bailey and John Tavares as they kept up with the Rangers for the No. 8 seed in the East with a 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. Matt Martin won the fight of the night with this one-punch KO of Tom Kostopoulos:
Michal Rozsival's goal in the fifth round of the shootout was the difference as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Nashville Predators 3-2. Brandon Saad's goal was his 17th point in 16 games and Patrick Kane put home his 19th of the year. Pekka Rinne made 38 saves in defeat ... Goals from Justin Abdelkader, Dan Cleary and Damien Brunner were just enough as the Detroit Red Wings held off a Colorado Avalanche for a 3-2 win. Jimmy Howard made 22 saves. Brunner's goal was his first in 16 games ... Andy McDonald and Jaden Schwartz each had a goal and an assist, while Brian Elliott made 19 saves in relief of an injured Jaroslav Halak as the St. Louis Blues downed the Minnesota Wild 4-1 ... Andrew Desjardins, Joe Thornton and Logan Couture scored in a span of 2:13 in the first period to help power the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Antti Niemi made 23 saves.
Did you know? Monday was the first Jarome Iginla-less meeting between Edmonton and Calgary since Jan. 20, 2007.
Dishonorable mention: Jets defenseman Grant Clitsome left the game in the first period and did not return after taking a Alex Burmistrov's stick to the face ... Both goals allowed by Corey Crawford came at the hands of some shaky puck management by the netminder:

Minnesota's power play failed to score on five chances ... With trade rumors dancing in his head, Miikka Kiprusoff was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots through the game's first 16:28 ... Cory Schneider allowed the first two goals of the game on Edmonton's first two shots.
