No. 1 Star: Cory Schneider, New Jersey Devils

The netminder made his 20th straight start tonight for the New Jersey Devils. Talk about riding your goaltender all season. Schneider made all 29 saves against the hapless Oilers for his 19th career shut-out.

No. 2 Star: Ryan Strome, New York Islanders

The Penguins scored first, but the Isles followed with 3 straight goals all in the first period. Strome provided a goal and an assist during that scoring flurry. He added another assist to put NY up 4-2 before Pittsburgh stormed back to send the game to OT and a shootout.

No. 3 Star: Alex Khokhlachev, Boston Bruins

In the seventh (7th!!) round of the shoot-out between the Bruins and Blue Jackets, the one they call Khoko finally ended the game.

Honorable Mention: Islanders win after Kyle Okposo beats Marc-Andre Fleury in the shootout with the okiedoke ...

... In the loss, Ryan Johansen's 1 goal and 2 assists moved him up to third in the league in assists with 16 and fourth in the league in total points at 23 ... Adam Henrique scored a short-handed goal against the Oilers on a terrible turnover ...

... Eric Gelinas assisted on both goal for New Jersey ... Pittsburgh came back from a two goal deficit twice against the Islanders. In the second rally, Patric Hornqvist brought the Pens within a goal, and then scored the tying marker to take it to OT.

Did You Know? Tonight marks the end of the dry scrape era. Two of the three games went to overtime as a tribute (unconfirmed).

Dishonorable Mention: The Rangers and Sabres were supposed to play tonight, but the game was cancelled because of something called 'snow' ... Kris Letang gets undressed (in the hockey sense) by Nikolay Kulemin on this goal ...

... Benoit Pouliot broke his foot blocking a shot in the second period and is out for an indefinite amount of time ... If you didn't see it earlier, Dalton Prout dropped Milan Lucic with one punch ... Did Rob Bortuzzo try (and fail) to headbutt Matt Martin?
