NHL Three Stars: Tippett wins 500th NHL game; OT and shootouts for everyone

No. 1 Star: Brent Seabrook, Chicago Blackhawks

Seabrook provided three assists in the Blackhawks regulation comeback and eventual overtime win against the Anaheim Ducks. Down 0-2 with 1:41 to go in the game, Marian Hossa scored a power play goal. With 27-seconds on the clock, Duncan Keith tied it. Artem Anisimov provided the game winner less than two minutes into overtime:

No. 2 Star: Cam Atkinson, Columbus Blue Jackets

Sergei Bobrovsky hit .500 this season thanks to Cam Atkinson's overtime goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins:

No. 3 Star: Shayne Gostisbehere, Philadelphia Flyers

Since his call up, Gostisbehere has 5 points in 7 games. 2 of those points have been game winning goals. He picked up his second game winner in overtime against the Nashville Predators:

Honorable Mention: 8 of 12 games on Friday went into extra frames. 5 ended in overtime and 3 ended in a shootout. Think 3 on 3 is working? ... Oliver Ekman-Larsson sent a slapper past Karri Ramo in overtime to give Arizona Coyotes head coach Dave Tippett his 500th win as an NHL coach ... Ryan Spooner scored the game tying goal for the B's before Krejci got some help from the skate of Emerson Etem to clinch the game for the Bruins with 1:43 left on the clock:

... Filip Forsberg scored a goal and an assist in the Predators loss to Philadelphia ... Zach Parise returned to the Minnesota lineup for the first time since Nov. 5 in the Wild's 3-1 loss to Winnipeg. Congrats to goaltender Connor Hellebuyck for earning his first ever NHL win in his start against the Wild ...  The Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils went to a shoot-out where the Habs came out victorious. Alex Galchenyuk and Sven Andrighetto scored goals in regulation and the only goals in the shoot-out. Despite taking the loss, Cory Schneider made a ridiculous save on Tomas Plekanec:

... Braden Holtby improved to 14-4-0 on a 32 save performance versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Caps were 3-of-4 on the power play with goals by Alexander Ovechkin, Jason Chimera, and T.J. Oshie ... The Buffalo Sabres beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1. Jack Eichel had one of the goals and it was a beauty:

... Iiro Pakarinen scored 2 goals in the Oilers loss to Detroit. Niklas Kronwall tallied the game winner just 26 seconds into overtime ... Tyler Seguin scored the only goal in the shootout. Both Dallas Stars goals were scored on the power play. Jamie Benn notched his 17th goal of the season. The next Dallas PPG came from Jason Spezza and the call was hilarious:

Did You Know?

Dishonorable Mention: Jonathan Toews and Ryan Kesler tried to fight and a linesman stopped it. Hossa's power play goal was a result of Ryan Getzlaf's penalty for tripping Andrew Shaw. Was it a good call, a good call with some embellishment by Shaw, or a bad call because of embellishment by Shaw?

... Matt Beleskey hit Derek Stepan into the boards resulting in Stepan breaking a couple ribs. Claude Julien accused Henrik Lundqvist of acting to get calls ...  The Jets held Minnesota to 15 shots on goal total ... Tyler Johnson played only 48-seconds before leaving the game with an undisclosed injury ... Cam Ward was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 14 shots ... Brandon Dubinsky will have a hearing with Player Safety after cross-checking Sidney Crosby in the back of the head. Evgeni Malkin fought Jack Johnson and got in some pretty good hits at risk of his hands:

... The New York Islanders and Florida Panthers made it all the way to the shootout and it looked like it was never going to end. Ever. A total of 9 (9!!) skaters scored on both Roberto Luongo and Jaroslav Halak before Bobby Lu finally made a save on Brock Nelson (hence the picture Tweeted above):
