In the past week, NHL television partner NBC hasn't been endearing themselves to hockey fans, specifically in Pittsburgh. Despite failing to stop things before it's popularity exploded last year, they pulled the plug on the big screen broadcasts outside of Mellon Arena, which drew a couple of thousands fans per game. Feeling unjustly wronged after hearing that the Peacock's decision was about losing ratings, the backlash was fierce among Penguins fans.
This afternoon's Game Six of the Penguins-Flyers series will be on NBC and again, not shown outside of Mellon Arena. So to help aid in the healing process, a drinking game is certainly in order.
This is where drinking games are really a gift from the heavens. We here at Puck Daddy are fond of beverages both hard and soft, so what better way to celebrate another afternoon NHL on NBC game.
Stealing a format style that you might have seen on Japers' Rink, allow me to present you with the "Puck Daddy Official NHL on NBC Drinking Game: Penguins-Flyers edition."
Drinking games aren't any fun without interaction, so to help our fellow puck heads enjoy their Saturday of hockey, please contribute your own additions in the comments. Don't forget to add your contributions for the Calgary-Chicago and Anaheim-San Jose games as well to continue the fun deep into the night.
The fun begins after the jump.
