NHL Awards 2013-14: Puck Daddy picks the winners for this season’s hardware
(The 2013-14 NHL season is upon us. Puck Daddy’s writers are previewing the teams, conferences, playoffs, awards and various other things until the puck drops.)
In looking over the 2013-14 Puck Daddy Staff Prognostications for the NHL Awards, one thing is clear: Sidney Crosby is pretty good at hockey.
The Pittsburgh Penguins star was the consensus pick for points leader and regular-season MVP from our crack(ed) staff of “experts,” with only one other player mentioned in the MVP race: Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks.
The rookie race is all over the place. So are the Vezina, Adams and Norris races.
The goal-scoring race? Eh, not so much.
