Nashville Stanley Cup run would relocate Country Music Awards

The Nashville Predators are atop the Central Division; and although they’re one of the teams least mentioned as a Stanley Cup contender despite their regular season success, the fact is that the Preds have a goalie that can steal a series or three.

One organization watching the Predators’ progress in the playoffs with great interest? Country Music Television (CMT), which will hold its annual CMT Music Awards on June 10 in Nashville.

If the Predators win a series or two, it could bump the CMT Awards to another location.

From The Tennsessean:

CMT plans to hold the awards at Bridgestone Arena again, but if the Predators continue into the playoffs, the show will be moved to Municipal Auditorium. According to John Hamlin, CMT’s senior vice president of music events and talent, organizers need the building for nine to 10 days before the show to properly stage the event.

Either way, we expect Carrie Underwood to be at Bridgestone Arena in June.
