Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is no stranger to wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers helmet. As you can see above, he's done it twice during the Steelers' most recent runs to the Super Bowl.
On Saturday night, when the Penguins visit the Chicago Blackhawks for their Stadium Series game at Soldier Field, Fleury will again be donning Steelers headgear. In a sense.
With help from long-time mask painter Stephane Bergeron of Griff Airbrush, Fleury's mask for Saturday's outdoor game will resemble that of a Steelers helmet.
The chinstrap and lips give it a freaky kind of feel, not in a Carey Price/Jacques Plante kind of way, but it certainly adds to the whole theme, especially with the football face mask also included. The Fleury soul patch is a nice touch, as well.
Bergeron also painted a mask for Corey Crawford for Saturday's game, but sadly it doesn't look like anything Dick Butkas or Walter Payton would have worn. Not even a Jim McMahon headband on the top.
