Liam Reddox scores ridiculous goal in Champions League (Video)

Remember Liam Reddox?

The former Edmonton Oilers forward has played with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Elitseren (Swedish Hockey League) for the last four seasons. His team is currently competing in the Champions Hockey League tournament that’s playing out around Europe.

Against HC Sparta Praha on Saturday, Reddox scored an awesome goal – a combination of stickhandling, poise, hand-eye coordination and … well, some hacky-sack worthy body bumping:

For those scoring at home, that’s a undressing two defensemen, firing on goalie Rastislav Stana (former Washington Capitals netminder and farmhand), having the puck hit his body, lifting it with his forearm and then using his stick to tap it out of midair to ensure the goal.

It’s one of those classic “goal of the year” highlights that starts at “oh” and then immediately increases to “oh [expletive]!” when you see the behind the net highlight.

Congrats, Liam Reddox! You’ve now joined the ever-growing club of ex-Oilers who are bigger stars on YouTube than they were in Edmonton. (See also: Omark, Linus; Schremp, Rob.)
