Leap-frogging goalies are hockey’s greatest victory celebration (Video)

Julius Hudacek and Henrik Lundberg are goalies for Orebro of the Swedish Hockey League. Last Thursday, they both contributed to a victory over Brynäs: Lundberg stopped all but one shot during three periods and in overtime and Hudacek, a shootout specialist, stonewalled their foes in the skills competition for the 2-1 win.

After the game, they celebrated.

With a game of on-ice leap-frog.

After some awkward setting up for the first leap – Lundberg initially got on all fours in the wrong direction – Hudacek did an equally awkward one-legged leap over his teammate. (Hey … the dudes are literally wearing knives on their feet. Cut’em a break.)

Lundberg executed a perfect hurdle next, and then they traded jumps until Lundberg slid into the net and Hudacek joined him. Hey when you go 5-hole, it's bound to end up in the net...

This GIF is everything:

“Me and Hank put on a gymnastics show,” said Hudacek to Aftonbladet. “We practiced it before but Hank looked like a rookie. I have to show him how it’s done.”

OK, just when you thought this couldn’t get any more adorable … they’ve PRACTICED this.
