Leafs, Senators fans have beer-fueled fight, take horrific tumble (Video)

(WARNING: NSFW LANGUAGE)

The Battle of Ontario continued on Sunday as the Toronto Maple Leafs visited the Ottawa Senators. Which meant a healthy number of Leafs fans invading Canadian Tire Centre, which always leads to interesting times.

If, you know, you find beer tossing fights that end with two people tumbling down the upper deck interesting …

This clip was posted on Facebook on Sunday. You can see a Senators fan jawing with two Leafs fans, until one of them walks away. Turns out he went to grab a beer, which will factor in later.

An usher physically restrained the Leafs fan with his arm while trying to defuse the whole thing. Suddenly, the Ottawa fan gave the his opponent a shove – right around when someone near the camera is calling for him to give the Toronto backer “The Todd Bertuzzi.” The second Leafs fan then tosses his beer at the Ottawa fan and, oh boy, it’s on.

(Good thing the beer is so cheap in Ottawa.)

The Senators fan grabs the first Leafs fan and the two of them take a horrific tumble down the rows, Everyone the section stands up, as they fall out of the frame.

“Does anyone else wanna watch the game?” asks some killjoy who apparently didn’t want to rubber-neck the car crash…

The Leafs won the game, 5-3, by the way.

Seriously, though, we hope everyone involved – the fighters and anyone they might have landed on – are OK. And good job, good effort from the Canadian Tire Centre staff, whose security force is apparently one dude.
