How Ottawa Senators choose to treat Daniel Alfredsson as a division rival next season – as a player who publicly stated that his new team, the Detroit Red Wings, are closer to winning a Cup than his old team, the Senators – should make for some hockey soap opera next season.

That’s an Alfredsson jersey with, what we assume, is a (rather professional looking) DIY Bobby Ryan nameplate, in honor of the player that was acquired hours after Alfredsson left for the Wings.

As you know, Protest Jerseys are typically not a Foul, and this falls under that category. Wonder how many other varieties of this we’ll see in Ottawa this season?
