Henrik Lundqvist’s bachelor party: selling shampoo dressed as king

Henrik Lundqvist has been known as "King" in New York City since leading the Rangers to the playoffs and winning a gold medal with Team Sweden in the same season back in 2005-06.

After getting engaged in December, this weekend is Lundqvist's bachelor party and as part of the festivities he had to dress as a king and sell bottles of shampoo while playing guitar in a Gothenburg, Sweden mall.

What great advertising for the Swedish division of Head & Shoulders.

According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Lundqvist's pals played the role of his marketers, announcing throughout the mall that the Rangers' goaltender would be selling the shampoo bottles between songs, which included "Wonderwall" by Oasis.

(The 29-year old Lundqvist is an avid guitar player, so we imagine that Liam and Noel Gallagher won't be upset with his rendition of "Wonderwall".)

Lundqvist ended up signing and giving the bottles away to shoppers as guests of his party, including twin brother Joel and Loui Eriksson of the Dallas Stars, cheered him on.

Now we just sit and wait for Lundqvist and his bride to complete their nuptials next month and hope they take a cue from Henrik Zetterberg by coming up with a very creative wedding photo set.
