Gallery: Create an NHL Starter Pack reader art contest!

We asked, and once again you dear readers delivered...

Our latest Reader Art Contest is the "Create An NHL Starter Pack" competition, in which we asked you to dive into the meme sweeping the Interwebz. It's a simple concept: Four images, edited together, that represent the essentials for "becoming" a given person or team.

Like, for example, the "Ilya Bryzgalov Starter Pack" by reader Spencer Thome: The universe, fear of bears, a giant regrettable contract and the man himself in a goofy hat.

We'll continue taking entries through Monday, Nov. 24 at noon ET. Email over to puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com.

Top five entries snag something from the Puck Daddy prize closet!

OK, enough with the logistics. How about some Starter Packs?

And here ... we ... go.

Joel Quenneville Starter Pack by Derek Harms (Mustache; Line Blender"; Sandpaper Grit"; Crotch Grabbing Ability)

Los Angeles Kings Fan Starter Pack by John Tyndall

Randy Carlyle Era Leafs Starter Pack by Tom Urtz, Jr.

San Jose Sharks Starter Pack by Brad Flavell (One. Jersey fouls in the stands are plentiful (and sometimes painfully accurate; Two. The banners in the rafters are riddled with asterisks; Three. Everyone on the roster is ashamed of themselves; Four. In between periods of mild success, historical choke jobs are provided.)

Mark Messier Starter Pack by Mark Miotto (The elbow took us a second.)

Richie And Cartsy Bro-Starter Pack by Mohit

Carey Price Starter Pack by Yakov Mironov. (And if you don’t get he reference, then you probably don’t know what cameras accidentally caught in the Canadiens’ dressing room last week.)

Roberto Luongo Starter Pack by Kyle Benson

Ottawa Fan Starter Pack by Michael Badek

Brooklyn Islanders Starter Pack by Matthew Hogan

And finally, from a Puck Daddy contest veteran ...

Marty Brodeur Starter Pack by Dave Cicirelli
