The Colorado Avalanche held their annual Burgundy/White scrimmage on Sunday, an intrasquad battle for bragging rights. The scrimmage ended with a shootout for the fans, and Gabriel Landeskog took the opportunity to score a nifty goal, patiently lifting the puck over goalie Kent Patterson.
Alas, while his shootout skills were sharp, his celebration skills were ... lacking.
That’s Landeskog, admiring his tally as he glides to the boards and falls flat on the ice after slamming into them. Hey, it's preseason for cellys, too.
Clearly, someone’s thinking about the Olympic-sized ice in Sochi.
Landeskog acknowledged his foibles on Twitter, asking for his followers to forward the video to him with the hashtag “embarrassed.”
