    New England Patriots fan Brian Boyle loses Super Bowl bet, dons New York Giants gear

    "Gronk will have a quiet game for more than three quarters. But Tom Brady will hit Gronk in the end zone in the final minute for our fourth Super Bowl."

    Those were the words of New York Rangers forward and Massachusetts native Brian Boyle to Chris Botta of the New York Times on Saturday, a day before the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants for the second time in four years.

    On Monday morning, Boyle had to pay for the Giants' 21-17 victory and was forced to wear all Big Blue championship gear, complete with a sour puss. Via teammate Brandon Prust:

    @BrandonPrust8

    You really get a sense of the "I can't [Gretzky]'ing believe Wes Welker didn't make that catch" feeling in Boyle's face.

    Marty Biron's picture of Boyle didn't quite capture the disgusted look that Prust's did, but look on the bright side, Brian, maybe next year the Pats won't run into the juggernaut that is the New York football Giants.

    UPDATE: Via the Rangers, here's Boyle talking about losing the bet:

      Love how the jacket is about 3 sizes to small for Boyle!

      I was just thinking last night about how Boyle would be put into a tough spot because of this game. But let's go Giants. (And Rangers, of course.)

      Juggernaut?!?!?! Did he really say "juggernaut"? Wow, they won by a mere 4 points. A truly decisive win (sarcasm) -- and don't forget the nervous looks on the Giants sidelines when Brady had 57 seconds on the clock...
      I will say that the Giants were the better team on Sunday, and Eli is becoming a better quaterback, but I would easily take a healthy Peyton over Eli any day and Brady over either of them!

        And you'd be 0 for 2 in the Super Bowl. Oh wait...you are.

        Actually they are 3-2 in Super Bowls with Tom Brady. 3 BRADY CHAMPIONSHIPS TO Eli's 2. Typical... New Yorkers are like politicians when it comes to facts. Kinda like Boston sports teams dominance in championships over the past 11 years.

        I see what you've done here. It's funny because it's opposite, right? I like having things explained to me.

      Sorry Boyle, Tom Brady can't think and chew gum at the same time, I thought that was what tom's wife said after The Patriots lost in Sundays' Superball,But what I am interested to know is if Boyle would play BIG against The #$%$ Devils tonight and make arrogant M. Brodeur (broad) look like crap !!

      Poor Brian. It must have been rough growing up in the slums of New England hustling with street puck to make ends meet. Good thing that now he gets to live NYC -- the best city in the world.

        Says the man who lives in New Jersey...

        NJ is where middle-class people who work in NYC live. Duh.

      Did you guys see the videos of the Vancouver-esque riots? All the property damage and looting?
