ECHL's Utah Grizzlies to dress as skeletons during Halloween night game (Photo)

Happy Halloween! I’m currently dressed a road cone, so picture me as any one of your favorite terrible NHL defensemen.

While we’ve seen plenty of players get in the act of dressing in costume for their respective team Halloween parties, the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies are taking things one step further. For their game Friday night against the Colorado Eagles, the entire team will be in costume.

Feast your eyes on the Utah Skeletons:

Glorious!

The team mascot, Grizzbie, even got in on the act:

After the game, the Grizzlies will then meet up with Johnny Lawrence and the rest of the Cobra Kai crew to track down Daniel LaRusso.

It is a bit of a freaky touch to see that grizzly claw coming out from between those two ribs. Though we would have also changed up the player names to reflect the holiday. Who wouldn’t want to cheer on Vinny Scare-sella, Channing Boo, T.J. Die-ner, or Bury Almeida?

The coolest part of this promo? The entire uniform sets will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Take home one of the best specialty minor league hockey jerseys we've seen and help out a fantastic cause all at the same time.
