Coyotes commemorate Mike Smith’s goal with awesome stop-motion video

It's been 11 days since Mike Smith of the Phoenix Coyotes became the 11th goaltender in NHL history to score a goal. And eleven days later, he still has more goals than the likes of Claude Giroux, Ray Whitney, Mike Green and Dustin Byfuglien.

To honor Smith's achievement, the Coyotes will be giving away 10,000 bobbleheads of the netminder before their Nov. 9 game against the Washington Capitals. To promote the night, they released a very creative ad:

We haven't seen better use of stop-motion animation since The California Raisins were a thing.

OK, we lied. This one was pretty awesome, too.
