Chronicles of Stanley: Tyler Toffoli's dad gets Stanley Cup tattoo

The Chronicles of Stanley is an occasional series this summer that tracks the Los Angeles Kings as they enjoy their special alone time with the Stanley Cup.

Getting inked after winning a Stanley Cup is something to help memorialize the greatest achievement in a hockey player's life. Pascal Dupuis showed off his tattoo during the Penguins' parade in 2009. Mark Recchi did it after he won his third Cup as a member of the Bruins in 2011. And who can forget Stanley Cup "champian" Brad Marchand?

So when Tyler Toffoli won the Stanley Cup this past season with the Los Angeles Kings his dad decided to honor the feat permanently with a tattoo on his right arm:

You'll recall during the Kings' celebration that Toffoli took out his cell phone on the ice and called his dad as he was being interviewed on CBC.

Of course, a day with the Stanley Cup couldn't end without something getting eaten out of the bowl. For Toffoli and his friends and family, ice cream was the answer.
