Imagine an opposing player shooting a puck at goaltender Cam Talbot. The Rangers netminder calmly stops it with his glove and freezes the play. The player skates past him in frustration, and Talbot says, “Back off, man. I’m a goaltender.”

And he does all this while wearing his awesome new "Ghostbusters" mask. (S/t InGoal)

And it's glow in the dark, which makes it extra spooky ... or if the power ever goes out at Madison Square Garden during a game because of Gozer or Vigo.

“Slimer is big, he is sliming and drooling, and he looks very hungry,” said designer David Gunnarsson. “Lucky for us Cam Talbot is also known as the ‘Goalbuster’, so he can take care of the Slimer and get him rid off his face.”

It’s not the first time Talbot referenced the movie in a goaltender mask. He has done it quite a bit, though his Zuul mask was pretty tremendous.

Good for Talbot to show his sense of history on the film, which came out in 1984, three years before he was born. It’s also one of the most quintessential films on New York, which Talbot seems to get? Or maybe he just loves the movie.
