    Wife of Chargers tackle Tommie Harris dies at 29

    Tommie Harris with his wife Ashley (Getty)Veteran defensive tackle Tommie Harris is mourning the loss of his wife Ashley, who was 29. She was found unresponsive on Friday and passed away on Sunday. Doctors suspect a stroke or a brain aneurysm, but an official cause of death has not been determined.

    Ashley and Tommie married in January. Their second child was born four months ago.

    Before joining the San Diego Chargers, Harris spent seven years with the Chicago Bears. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that several of his Bears teammates flew to Oklahoma to be by his side. Not long after she passed away, Earl Bennett and Chris Harris tweeted their condolences.

    Harris is a three-time Pro Bowler. In San Diego this season, he had three sacks and 13 tackles.

      This is sooo tragic--and such a beautiful couple too. My condolences go out to Mr. Harris and to ALL of the late Mrs. Harris' family members. I KNOW what it feels like to lose a spouse. My late husband I were only married for five years and he was only 42 at the time of his passing. Only God Himself could give me the strength to pull through that. He would have been 44 this July 2012. God give Mr. Harris strength.

      The unexpected & untimely death of anyone is hard but for such a beautiful young Wife & Mother to go like this, just makes this such a horribly sad situation to have to deal with. Prayers going out to the entire family. May she rest.... :-(

      This story bring tears to my eyes Mr. Harris was a good friend of my ex-husband family we watched this young man make it to pro ball. I heart hurt for him and his family right now, I will be praying for him (God cover this young man please)
