It's the first game of the season for everybody, including the good people who type the names on the screen for NBC. They gave Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan a slightly different name.
(Mock Session)It could have been a typo, or perhaps it was their tribute to recently retired Boston Globe columnist Bob Ryan? Either way, that luscious head of hair could only belong to one man. Later in the game, they made up for it by playing Journey's "Separate Ways" while showing a replay of Ryan celebrating a defensive stop. It's a fitting tribute.
