Where are NFL prospects watching draft? A.J. McCarron will be in Uncle Rusty's garage

About 30 of the top NFL draft prospects have been invited to Radio City Music Hall in New York City for all the draft festivities, which kick off Thursday night.

But where are some of the other players watching from?

Often, it's just at their family's or perhaps their agent's home. For instanct, Colorado State prospects Weston Richburg and Crockett Gillmore are both from Texas, so they'll be celebrating together at the Richburg home. That's nice.

But what about some of the more interesting draft party venues?

For instance, Alabama's two-time national-champion quarterback is pretty well-known, but he was not invited to NYC and instead has some pretty cool festivities planned: ping pong and dominoes in his Uncle Rusty's garage. McCarron told me last week that Uncle Rusty has cleaned said garage, so the ladies should be happy, too. No word on whether Katherine Webb, McCarron's celebrity fiancée, is a dominoes shark.

Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro is in the same boat as McCarron: He could be picked in Round 1 but might have to wait until Friday to hear his name called in Round 2 or 3. Amaro apparently isn't sweating it too much either way, and he's not changing his Thursday night plans. According to the Lubbock Avalance-Journal, Amaro will be attending the San Antonio Spurs-Dallas Mavericks playoff game that night.

“I think that’d be kind of neat, watching the game and watching the draft at the same time,” Amaro said.

One guy we probably will not see much of during the draft is Michael Sam. The Missouri defensive end, who has come to fame since announcing he's gay this offseason, reportedly declined offers from ESPN and NFL Network, the two stations broadcasting the draft, to have a camera put up in his house. Considering how unknown his status is — and whether he'll be drafted at all — can you blame the guy?
