Well, we know that Robert Griffin III doesn't take himself too seriously.
On his official Facebook page, the day after he was married to college sweetheart Rebecca Liddicoat he posted a video of the Washington Redskins quarterback rapping about "Pop Rocks and Tootsie Pops" while Rebecca and her sister Lindsey danced behind him and provided some background vocals too. Griffin wore a ridiculous getup that includes a stocking cap, sunglasses over a Halloween mask, and a tie over a sweatshirt.
This video is exactly why Griffin is such a likeable superstar.
While his lyrics and rapping won't put Kendrick Lamar out of business ("I was rolling down the street the other day, 7-Eleven was on the way, I walked up in the store I had to say, gimme them Pop Rocks and Tootsie Pops," ... thank goodness he's a great quarterback) he didn't care that he looks really goofy while he had a lot of fun with his fiancee and future sister in law (this video sat mostly unwatched on YouTube since March, until Griffin brought attention to it on his Facebook page). It's also pretty cool that his wife and her sister seem to have the same playful personality as Griffin. And, if you don't have that chorus stuck in your head all day, you're a stronger person than I am.
Another funny part of the video is that there was some writing, choreography and practice that went in before this version. Not to mention the wardrobe planning. There was a lot of time put into one of the goofiest videos you'll see, especially from a NFL star. CandyShopProducers has just one video on YouTube but we're hoping for a follow up soon. Perhaps Mike Shanahan can become Flavor Flav to Griffin's Chuck D.
What we need next is a response track with Andrew Luck rhyming about gummy bears and M&Ms.
