In the second quarter of his team's game against the Minnesota Vikings, Vontae Davis(notes) made a key goal line interception of Brett Favre(notes) that would prove to be the difference the Miami Dolphins' 14-10 upset victory.
Good thing he did that, or else his Sunday would be most remembered for what he did in the next quarter:
It's tough to tell whether Davis suffered the injury on the hit or in a Gramatica-like post-play celebration, but I choose to believe it was the latter. One doesn't celebrate by posing like a Soviet-era soldier if one get a stinger on the play.
Davis left the game after the play but returned later in the quarter. He wisely didn't celebrate his next tackle.
