Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, what have you guys done?
Flair and Hogan were known for stirring things up when they wrestled professionally, but both men are evoking emotions in the NFL world. Hogan recently declared his support for the New England Patriots, while Flair betrayed the Carolina Panthers and announced he was tag-teaming with the San Francisco 49ers. As a result, he has received death threats from Panthers supporters.
This drama has Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart written all over it.
But sadly, with Flair backing the 49ers and the Hulkster runnin' wild with the Patriots, that leaves six NFL teams without someone to support them this weekend.
Here are six former wrestlers who would be perfect matches for the other remaining postseason teams:
The Rock and the Seahawks: High-gleam flash, dazzle and you love what they’re cooking. Finally, The Rock has come back to Seattle.
Mankind and the Chargers: A total mess that doesn't belong there but somehow hangs around anyway.
Big Show and the Broncos: Utterly terrifying at first glance but beatable if you can keep from peeing yourself.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper and the Colts: Don't let the looks fool you ... this team can beat you down. And perhaps Andrew Luck will break a coconut on your head.
The Ultimate Warrior and the Saints: If Drew Brees starts to attack, you'll be running from the ring.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the Panthers: That defense can put a “DDT” on an opponent's playoff hopes. Perhaps Carolina coach Ron Rivera is waiting for the playoffs to unleash his pet python Damien on fallen foes.
