That stranger Cowboys coach Jason Garrett shoved after Sunday’s win was actually his security director

Shutdown Corner

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett shoved a man during the closing moments of his team’s 24-23 victory against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Garrett did not smile, and it appeared he was pushing somebody in a suit who was is his space. Maybe a supporter of former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan?

It turns out the mystery man was Larry Wansley, director of security for the Cowboys, according to FOX Sports Southwest's Mike Fisher.

That makes sense.

The security director of each team spends nearly every day around their head coach. That person attends every practice, is with the coach at home and away games, and usually a friendship develops between them. Garrett and Wansley apparently get along really well.

However, if Dallas does not advance to the postseason, Wansley may not be able to prevent Jerry Jones from shoving his friend out the door.
