This, too, shall pass, Doug Marrone. The Bills' new head coach has to be asking himself what he deserved to face all of this in his first NFL head coaching job.
A day after having to sign Matt Leinart and trade for Thaddeus Lewis to shore up their troublesome quarterback depth, the Bills find themselves without one of their best defensive players. CB Stephon Gilmore, their top draft pick in 2012, reportedly will be out for an extended period of time.
Bills CB Stephon Gilmore to miss about eight weeks with a hand/wrist issue. Tough one there but hope is he only misses 5-6 games or so.

Gilmore was just starting to ascend to the top handful of corners in the league prior to the injury. This is a Buffalo secondary that just got safety Jairus Byrd back from his self-imposed holdout and will miss Gilmore greatly as it must contend with Tom Brady and Cam Newton in Weeks 1 and 2.
Marrone will be tested in his first go as an NFL head coach right out of the chute. Bills fans had better strap in early on.
