Stephen Gostkowski misses kick as Patriots stunned in home opener (VIDEO)

With a minute left in the New England Patriots game with the Arizona Cardinals, the Patriots were down by two. They could not get in the end zone, so with one second left in the game, the Patriots sent out kicker Stephen Gostkowski, who made four field goals on Sunday. Unfortunately, he didn't make the one that would have won the game.

As you can tell from the stunned looks on the faces of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, quarterback Tom Brady, and every single New England fan in the stands, Gostkowski hooking it to the left was unexpected. The loss snapped the Patriots home winning streak and gave them their first loss in a home opener since 2002.

Gostkowski said after the game he knows he'll get ripped, and it's well-deserved.

"I'm sure I'll get ripped for it by the fans and stuff, but it's well deserved," he said. "My teammates have my back and no one feels worse about missing the kick than I do."

But no one at Gillette Stadium looked more relieved than Cardinals running back Ryan Williams. The Cardinals were in control for most of the game, and the Patriots were in a position to score because Williams fumbled on a play that could have been a kneel down.
