New Steelers left tackle Levi Brown gets hurt during warmups … after old starting tackle Mike Adams ruled inactive

NFL teams need to submit their inactive players list 90 minutes before the game. The Steelers' offensive line situation is so jinxed that the team couldn't even get through that hour and a half period without something terrible happening.

The Steelers traded for Levi Brown from the Cardinals, a dubious move because Brown isn't very good. But the Steelers figured he was better than old starter Mike Adams.

Pittsburgh was so fed up with Adams that he was declared inactive against the Jets. No big deal, because Brown was just fine to make his Steelers debut. And somehow, Brown went down with a triceps injury in the time between Adams being deactivated and the game kicking off.

The Steelers had to go with Kelvin Beachum, listed as a guard, at left tackle to protect Ben Roethlisberger's blind side. Beachum started his day with bad penalties and getting beat often.

The Steelers might want to consider an exorcism in their offensive line meeting room to get rid of the evil spirits.
