Yep. After 38 games and 111 grabs, Mathews crossed the plane of the end zone via the pass for the first time in the NFL. Mathews has scored 14 rushing touchdowns, but for a player who has averaged nearly three receptions per game, the fact that he hadn't scored through the air was a bit surprising. But Mathews looked spry early, which is a good thing for the Chargers.
