Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain has reportedly posted on his Facebook page that he is no longer a member of the team. According to Kyle Burger, a reporter for WVTM in Birmingham, Ala., McClain wrote "I'm gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual 'team'." on the social media site.

McClain did not practice with the Raiders on Wednesday due to "team-related issues," but the club maintains that the No. 8 overall pick of the 2010 NFL draft remains on the roster and no transactions involving McClain were recorded on the NFL's internal personnel notice for Wednesday, Nov. 28.

The 23-year-old McClain has struggled since joining the Raiders, starting 38 of 41 games over the last two-plus seasons and totaling 244 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one interception and 20 passes defensed. According to official NFL playing-time documents, McClain played in 88.2 percent (2010) and 88.19 percent (2011) of the Raiders' defensive snaps during his first two seasons in the league, but has been a two-down player, seeing time in just 69.37 percent of the team's 715 defensive snaps in 2012.

Another shift in McClain's playing-time has come on special teams, where he saw just one snap over the first 30 games of his NFL career. This season, however, McClain has logged 71 special teams snaps, or 20.11 percent of the Raiders' total.

As the No. 8 overall pick in 2010, McClain signed a five-year contract that was worth a maximum of $40.25 million and included $22.825 million in guaranteed money. McClain has already received $19.735 million in that contract and $1.535 million of his $4.005 million base salary in 2013, and $2.1 million of his $5.805 million base salary in 2014 is fully guaranteed. McClain's contract will void five days after the 2014 Super Bowl making him eligible for unrestricted free agency in 2015.
