Report: Bucs receiver Mike Williams allegedly stabbed in leg by his brother

Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Williams is currently in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa after he was allegedly stabbed in the leg by his brother, according to WTSP.

Williams was stabbed in his thigh at his home in Avila, an exclusive gated community in Tampa. His condition has not be revealed.

Here is a portion of WTSP's story:

Cristal Bermudez Nunez (Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson) says it happened Sunday afternoon, and the football player's brother is suspected of stabbing him. Nunez is not releasing the brother's name at this time but says they are looking for him this evening.

After hearing of the incident involving Williams, Tampa Bay issued a press release via Twitter:

Williams was charged with trespassing and criminal mischief during an incident in December. He was accused of constantly having loud parties that resulted in several 9-1-1 calls, and Williams reportedly agreed to pay more than $43,000 in damages for not abiding by his lease.

Bucs coach Lovie Smith described Williams’ as disturbing when asked about his receiver in February.

"There's a pattern here and it's disturbing," Smith told the Tampa Bay Times. "No one is bigger than this football team," Smith He has to understand that. Have I been disappointed in Mike Williams? Of course. There's a standard. We're just not going to put up with it, no matter who it is. You have to be good on the field and off the field. Simple as that. And if you're not doing what you need to do one or the other, you have problems and that's where Mike has to take care of a few things."

Now Smith has been forced to worry about Williams’ health.
