During the Chicago Bears' 23-6 win over the St. Louis Rams, Jay Cutler, Cortland Finnegan and Devin Hester combined for a wild play. However, the thing you'll remember from the play is the referee learning the name of the largest city in Missouri from a beloved musical.
Finnegan picked off Cutler, but then fumbled the ball. When Hester saw the ball on the ground, he picked it up and went running. The mess was cleared up by the replacement refs. Finnegan was called down by contact and the ground caused the fumble.
Head official Jerry Hughes made it clear who the ball belonged to: St. Louie.
Perhaps this referee is just a huge fan of Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien. Who could blame him? But if he starts singing penalties to the tune of "Clang, Clang, Clang Went the Trolley," it's gone too far.
