On the first play after the two-minute warning, a third-and-10 play from the Ravens' 44-yard line, Jones was able to get behind San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver, who thought he had deep help from a safety who had converged to help cover wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
Flacco was able to buy himself some time and heaved a ball towards Jones, who caught the pass while falling on his back at the 49ers' nine-yard line. Culliver jumped over Jones, who, alertly sensing that he had not been touched, got up and ran into the end zone for a 56-yard touchdown to give the Ravens a 21-3 lead with less than two minutes to play in the first half.
On the previous play, Culliver nearly had an interception, but Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith broke up the play on what appeared to be a fairly blatant offensive pass interference penalty that was not called.
Jones had a 70-yard touchdown catch-and-run in the final minute of regulation to force overtime in the Ravens' double overtime win over the Denver Broncos in the divisional playoffs round. Jones' 56-yard touchdown was the longest pass play the 49ers defense allowed in the 2012 regular and postseason.
