After three quarters, Larry Fitzgerald had three catches from Cardinals rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley. Janoris Jenkins caught two passes from Lindley, and both went for touchdowns. The problem for Arizona is that Jenkins plays cornerback for the Rams.
Arizona's horrible quarterback situation remained horrible with Lindley making his first career start, considering Jenkins was Lindley's most productive target on Sunday.
Jenkins' first interception came on a pass to Lindley's left, and he returned it down the sideline 36 yards for a score. That tied the game 7-7 in the second quarter.
Jenkins' second touchdown looked about the same. Lindley threw a weak pass to his left, Jenkins picked it off and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown. That came in the third quarter and gave the Rams a 28-17 lead.
Jenkins had character concerns coming into this year's draft, and was considered a bit of a risk when the Rams took him in the second round, despite his tremendous talent. What the Rams have gotten so far is a promising playmaker, one who turned Sunday's game in the Rams' favor with a couple of huge defensive plays.
