Other NFC Divisional Winners:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Be careful, Steelers. For a while, the #2 spot in the AFC belonged to the Steelers by default. No more. They can hang on to it for right now, but their 6-3 record doesn't separate them at all from the Patriots, Ravens, or even the Jets. Consider yourselves on notice, Steelers. Speaking of which ...
Sorry, Jets. I know I've written you off in the past, and I continue to do it this week, but I'm just not a believer yet. My mind is open to the idea now, though. You've got six wins, and two more clear "should wins" on your schedule, in San Francisco and Seattle. Let's see how things go Thursday night.
The AFC West owes everyone an apology. But yes, I still think San Diego's going to beat out Denver in the division.
The Falcons are pounding on the door. I still gave Tampa the nod this week, but it wasn't an easy call. The records are identical, but Tampa Bay has two clear "should wins" on the schedule (Detroit and Oakland) while Atlanta has none.
Just no room for you, Eagles. I think you proved on Sunday night that you're good enough to be in the playoffs, but you're 5-4 and the conference is stacked. Mathematics 1, Eagles 0. Sorry.
