The NFL owners meetings are barely underway, and we have some comedy to report.
The Oakland Raiders' offseason approach has been interesting, to say the least, but it could take another fascinating turn.
When Incognito expressed desire to play for the Raiders last week, it was viewed by some (by me) as an attempt to drum up interest in any willing, able and/or completely myopic team to offer him a contract. But with Davis telling media to talk to general manager Reggie McKenzie, who has been in full-on win-now mode with his signing of several aging veterans, you can't rule out the Raiders taking on the massive baggage of Incognito, who was implicated as the ring leader of the Jonathan Martin hazing case with the Miami Dolphins through the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Oh, and if Incognito were to sign with the Raiders, he and Martin would be just a short BART ride apart, with Martin having joined the 49ers.
Media members asked McKenzie if he wanted Incognito on the team. McKenzie just smiled. They asked him again. He smiled again.
Meanwhile, we're laughing.
