It's one of the underrated happenings during a given NFL season ... the first game on television which features a significant amount of snow. It seems like it usually happens in Denver, but Pittsburgh took the honor yesterday afternoon.
Something about it just makes a man feel good. There's heavy white precipitation blanketing an area, and there are men out there playing in it, and those men are not me. Of this, I approve.
Even though I don't think it was particularly helpful for a team from San Diego, and I'll spend the next few months hating snow, yesterday, at about 4:00, when we got the first live look at Heinz Field, and it was being pounded by snow ... the cockles of my heart were warmed.
