While that is good news for New York, Smith still faces Bucs cornerback Darrelle Revis in his first NFL game. Revis will play against his old team and have defensive backs Mark Barron and Dashon Goldson as reinforcements to create coverage problems for the rookie quarterback.
Other key inactives:
Falcons WR Roddy White is nursing a high ankle sprain that will make it challenging for him to play today vs. Saints.

Jaguars: Quarterback Blaine Gabbert is expected to play against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Schefter. He was listed as questionable because of a fractured right thumb, but Gabbert will start on Sunday.
Browns: Left end defensive end Ahtyba Rubin is not expected to play against Miami, according to Rapoport. Rubin’s absence is a huge blow to Cleveland’s run defense against the Dolphins.
49ers: Running back LaMichael James (knee) will not play against the Green Bay Packer today, according to Rapoport.
Jets: New York quarterback Mark Sanchez will not play on Sunday.
Seahawks: Defensive end Cliff Avril (hamstring) will not play against Carolina, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Bills: Safety Jairus Byrd is inactive for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Byrd was listed as doubtful for the game and has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in both feet.
