For some reason, the popular rumor to make up about football players is that they broke both legs in a car accident. Why specifically that, I'm not sure. But it pops up from time to time on social media.
It has happened to Eagles quarterback Michael Vick more than once, including Monday. That led to the absurdity of Vick having to tell his nearly two million Twitter followers that, no, their prayers aren't needed because he wasn't in a car accident and both of his legs are just fine.

And that all led to even more absurdity, as impossible as it seems, of rapper 2 Chainz sending a heartfelt message asking for prayers for Vick, and Vick having to tell 2 Chainz he was OK.
Prayers go out to Mike Vick

Yes, this really happened. Ah, Twitter.
So this stands as your public service announcement: When you hear the next rumor that a quarterback both broke legs in a car accident, take it with a grain of salt.
