Matt Schaub throws yet another pick-six, setting new NFL record

Well, that didn't take long. Only moments into Sunday night's game against the 49ers, Houston's Matt Schaub threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

Did that seem familiar? Of course it did, because this marks the fourth straight game Schaub has thrown a pick-six. And that, friends, is a new NFL record. Granted, Schaub did have some pretty lofty company when he had thrown only three in a row — couple fellas named Peyton Manning and Brett Favre — but now he's got the record all to himself.

If there's any saving grace at all to Schaub's latest misfire, it's that it occurred early enough in the game for Houston to overcome it. This isn't a backbreaker like last week's runback by Seattle's Richard Sherman, a catastrophic throw that resulted in the Texans losing a game they should have won. That one led to Houston fans burning Schaub's jersey after the game; heaven only knows what they'll do if the Texans manage to lose this one.
