San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd was hit on the first play of the second half against the Philadelphia Eagles and was taken off the field on a stretcher.
On the scary play, Eagles linebacker DeMeco Ryans hit Floyd, hitting helmet to helmet, as Floyd went down and stayed down until team doctors came out onto the field.

Although Floyd moved after the hit, which appeared to compress his neck, he was placed on the stretcher and removed from the game. The contest was delayed for several minutes.
We'll continue to monitor this one closely. It appears Ryans will be subject to a fine this week, but it did not appear to be intentional or malicious.
