The housing market is starting to improve. Mortgage rates are dropping. Now is a good time to purchase a home.

Oh, and Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has a deal for you.

Bush has put his Los Angeles area home up for sale. The 5,000 square-foot estate in Hollywood Hills, Calif., can be obtained for $6 million (please resist the urge to tap into your 401K for a down payment).

Here are a few pictures of the home from ESPN’s Darren Rovell and Jordan Cohen, Bush’s real estate agent:

Bush signed a four-year deal worth $16 million with Detroit in 2013. He has been very committed to the Lions, and spends each offseason working out at the team facility. Flying to California for a few days is pretty inconvenient when Michigan is your home.

Plus, Bush is 29, and many running backs struggle after turning 30. It does not hurt to start downsizing to prepare for life after those NFL checks are gone, and Bush is nearing the end of his career.
