You can add Greg Jennings' name to the list of former Green Bay Packers players who have moved on to the Minnesota Vikings. There's Ryan Longwell, Darren Sharper, and some guy named Brett Favre, who threw passes to Jennings in Green Bay in Jennings' first two seasons (2006 and 2007). Jennings won't be catching any more passes from current Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers unless he does so in the Pro Bowl, because he agreed to terms on a five-year, $47.5 million deal with the Vikings on Friday afternoon. The Vikings were in great need of receiver help after trading Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks for three draft picks earlier in the week.

Jennings, selected in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan, has grabbed 425 passes for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns in the regular season, and 50 catches for 673 yards and six touchdowns in the postseason -- including four receptions for 64 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay's 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

But Jennings missed half the 2012 season due to injuries, and the Packers -- already flush with receiver talent -- were perhaps more willing to move on that Jennings anticipated. Green Bay reportedly offered a new contract during the 2012 season that would have paid Jennings about $10 million per year, and Packers general manager Ted Thompson said at last month's scouting combine that he wanted to retain the two-time Pro Bowler.

But when Jennings arrived in Minneapolis on Wednesday to get the Vikings' sales pitch, general manager Rick Speilman and head coach Leslie Frazier put on the full-court press, grabbing defensive end Jared Allen to join them for dinner on Thursday night, and giving the full facility tour on Friday, allowing Jennings to meet his potential future teammates.

The Vikings will certainly be happy to have Jennings off their hands as an opponent -- he's caught more passes (65) for more yards (964) and more touchdowns (10) against Minnesota than against any other team.
