Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Fox is sorry for their fake Jay Cutler headlines

Shutdown Corner

Back in week one, Fox aired a little pre-packaged video segment with a bunch of fake headlines questioning Jay Cutler's toughness. Daryl "Moose" Johnston assured us that they were actual headlines. They were not.

Today, Fox got around to apologizing for it.

I guess it's nice that they apologized, but the apology itself feels a little incomplete. It sounds like they're apologizing just for telling Johnston that the headlines were real, and not for the fact that they completely fabricated headlines. And would an apology have come at all if the Chicago Tribune hadn't called them out to begin with?

It's not the kind of story I'm going to lose sleep over, but it will make a little harder to trust Fox in the future.

Gracias, Sports Grid.
